My Story

Early in 2019, I went through a bit of a transformation. Even though my running has been a great physical and mental release for me since I turned 50, I have since suffered badly with sore feet (plantar fasciitis – very painful) that prevented me from running as regularly as I wanted, or needed. I had a nasty fall that left lovely scars on my knee and elbow. I was all gung-ho every Monday to restart the “diet” and by Wednesday evening, I was reaching for the chips (crisps) and comfort eating. The weight started coming back and I was not a happy bunny – didn’t like who I was becoming and had no motivation for anything in my life – my business, my job, my well-being.

 

So in 2019 I made the decision to shake myself out of my slump and was ready to go back to  weight watchers (for the 3rd time!) to try again. A lunchtime chat with one of my work friends sent me down a completely different path and I am a much, much happier human because of her – thanks Angie!! It was so much easier than I expected and I so enjoyed the process.

Am I where I want to be? Absolutely not! I want to keep going on this fun journey. And if anything about my journey resonates with you, or you just want to get up off your arse and move, contact me! Maybe someone you know could use this time to make that decision they’ve been putting off? It’s never too late. I turned 57 this year and, despite Covid, it has been my best year yet!!

The current one is a 100 day challenge so I don’t get to start again every Monday, but every day!
